One of the most important parts of the profession in the workshop, which involves dozens of different skill sets, is the field of repairs, restorations, maintenance and upgrades.

This includes all types of electric and acoustic guitars (archtop, hollow-body, semi-hollow, classical, Spanish, etc…), electric and acoustic basses, mandolins, ukeleles, dobros and banjos…

From the simple but very necessary maintenance of the instrument to, for example, a broken headstock, there are a great variety of possible tasks, including:

Adjusting and setting up of the instrument

Refretting

Nut replacement (bone, tusq,…)

Electronic upgrades

Tuner Keys replacement

Broken Headstock Repair

Repairing different splits and cracks

Neck Reset

Repair of lifting acoustic guitar bridge

Restorations…

Varnishing and re-painting (At present only done on vintage guitars, or Charly Guitars)

Waiting times depend on the work to be done and the availability of materials, but are normally between one and three weeks for most jobs, with a few obvious exceptions.

Every project gets personalised attention and every instrument matters, whatever its quality. Because of this, and to give a correct evaluation and price quote, a full inspection in the workshop is essential.
