Finish: 100% Nitrocellulose Lacquer applied with methods from the 50’s.
We do not believe in relics, not for aesthetic reasons but for practical reasons. Our experience of many years distances us from that concept, since the processes used for the aging of the instrument are based on abrasives and abuse, which accelerates decomposition (unusable bridges, non-functional pegs, dead pickups, rusty screws and paint that falls to pieces,…)
Our guitars have a finish we call “Under the bed”, which is like if you bought the guitar in the ’50s, used it carefully for a month or two, put it in its case and kept it for 70 years. We believe in the natural and personalized aging of the instrument, since the finishes are so fine and the nickel plating is of such high quality that it allows for a gradual, natural, authentic and wonderful aging that will depend on the owner.
